The Decree of the Wall

Year 0 — As Spoken at the Sealing of Kel Vaereth

By word of the Concord, and the will of the Ninefold Signatories, let this be known to all peoples of the realm and beyond:

Today, the wall is sealed. Today, the flame is bound.

Let this city—once high and proud, now hollow and cursed—be walled, not only in stone, but in silence. Let no door be opened, save by consent of the Concord. Let no voice speak of what was lost, save in mourning. Let no name be given to the fire that betrayed us.

From this moment, time is made anew.
Let all calendars be reset. Let all records be rewritten. Let the world measure its days from this:
The First Year of the Closure.

The gods, having gifted us this final victory, have turned their gaze from the world. Let no one seek them. Let no one call upon the broken flame.

What came before was fire. What comes after shall be order.
